TSSC Policies

Parent/Guardian Attendance Policy:

Skaters who are minors (under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by parents. Parents must remain rinkside during the entire program, ready to provide assistance if necessary in case of injury or illness. This program is not delivered in a custodial setting and as such, each parent is responsible for their child at all times, before, during and after the skating session.

Member and Parent/Guardian Assistance Policy:

The Toronto Speed Skating Club is a volunteer run club that relies on the help of all participants to run smoothly. In particular, the help of the Parents and members is needed and expected to: set up mats on and off the ice efficiently, before and after practice; prepare water buckets for skating; to help with rinkside safety and any other health and safety requirements; with fundraising; with equipment maintenance and other volunteer roles, as needed. Please lend a hand, everyone wins when less time is wasted.

TSSC Registration, Payment and Refund Policy

Registration is only confirmed upon receipt of:

Payment via e-transfer to: tssctreasurer1@gmail.com in the full amount (please note: 2024-2025 Intro to Speed Skating)
All fees are non-refundable. No refunds or credits will be granted for withdrawals from the program after the 1st Intro to Speed Skate (ITSS) class. All withdrawal requests must be made in writing to TSSCRegistrar@gmail.com. Refunds will be calculated based on the date of the written withdrawal request and not based on attendance in the program, less $50 for administration and $20 IceReg charges. No make-up lessons are granted for missed classes.
All members and parents/guardians must read, agree to and abide by all policies, protocols and waivers provided.
By paying fees to the TSSC you agree to abide by the TSSC registration and refund policy as stated here.
